The Great Villa Beer Off
Since Brighton & Hove Albion moved to Falmer Stadium in 2011, they’ve taken a progressive approach to welcoming away fans.
MOMS has had a couple of spells living by the sea in Brighton and has been to a few games to watch Brighton in the 30,000+ stadium and one of the best features in the away stand is the serving of a local beer choice of the visiting team.
Supporters Choice
Being involved in Villa’s away fan consultation initiative this season, MOMS proposed at the first meeting, the idea to get Villa supporters involved in actually choosing the guest local brew and food to be served when Villa fans visit Brighton on Friday 18th November.
A few weeks back, potential nominations were requested from supporters via MOMS’ social media channels.
In terms of food choices, Balti Pies were pretty unanimous in terms of fan favour, while the local beer option threw up a wider selection of choice due to the several fine brews available in the Midlands region.
So to let Villa supporters decide what tipple they wish to enjoy at Falmer Stadium, we’ve put the most popular nominations to the vote.
The Contenders
Six of the finest brews known to the Midlands area, will battle it out to earn the right to be drunk at the Brighton vs Aston Villa game.
In terms of the contenders, there’s two from both Purity and Banks’s, alongside the flagship drinks of both Holden’s and Bathams Breweries.
So, if you’re planning on going to the Brighton game, please cast your vote in the below poll.
The voting will close on October 12th 2016.
VOTING CLOSED
As per agreement, the club will then instruct Brighton to then source the winning beverage for the match in November.
Many thanks for your participation and enjoy the weekend on the south coast.
