Aston Villa Season Ticket Sell Out
Aston Villa today announced that they had sold out their capped amount of season tickets for the 2022/23 Premier League season.
A healthy 95% of season tickets sales came from existing season ticket holder’s summer renewals before the ever-fluctuating waiting list – lets call it circa 25,000 – was called into action.
How many Aston Villa season ticket holders are there?
Season tickets at Villa Park are thought to be capped off at the 30,000 mark, making it the third season in a row (when fans were permitted), that the mark has been reached. It clearly makes it another factor along with the waiting list, that emboldened the club to go ahead with its North Stand expansion plan.
Speaking of the North Stand rebuilding, being a season ticket holder this season, will most definitely put fans in pole position when it comes to visiting Villa Park during the construction period of the North Stand; which is expected to begin next summer.
With the North Stand now being completely demolished*, Villa will lose the stand’s capacity and have to relocate their current season ticket holders from the stand to the remaining three stands.

There is the strong prospect that Villa home games will then be practically only for season ticket holders to attend, for between one to two seasons. The temptation to up the number of season ticket holders to fill the reduced capacity Villa Park is very much on the table.
Having a season ticket this season that can be renewed for next season, certainly puts holders in a strong position (despite the price rise!).
