Aston Villa Third Shirt Launches
Aston Villa’s long awaited third kit finally drops just in time for their League Cup trip to Bristol City (and not to announce a new signing).
This time round there was a practical use in using the third kit to go for a lighter option, with the white shirt useful for games against teams in red shirts such as the Robins.
While looking like it carries a camouflage design at first glance, the shirt according to Kappa celebrates Birmingham, ‘its different districts and Aston Villa’s place in the Second City’.
The location of the badge has special significance.
‘The lower part of the club crest is positioned proudly on the shirt in the location of Villa Park, Aston – with the local district map represented via a repeated camouflage effect across the jersey’, the club’s website states.
All shirts will carry a silicone crest (as per the other shirts this season), across both Standard and Pro editions, with the club’s lion proudly displayed at the top of the reverse and ‘Part of the Pride’ in the neckline.
The jersey boasts a lime and navy blue bi-colour v-neck collar design.
Whether the lime trim is to honour the brave and courageous Bomb Squad of Lambert’s Limes era is unclear at this stage…

how can it be highlighted when fans can’t watch ?
When will the popular black kit ever be worn?
Well you ask what we think and this is my own opinion I don’t like any of the new kits including this one, others of course will have their own opinions which they are entitled to and I respect that, but I haven’t thought much of Kappa kit from the start.
