Graham Taylor Tribute
Aston Villa’s game at Molineux this weekend obviously brings together two of Graham Taylor former clubs and both Wolves and Villa have issued the below details of a tribute that will be paid to the dearly departed Villa boss ahead of the fixture this weekend.
Wolves & Villa Tribute
Wolves and Aston Villa fans will join together before tomorrow’s Midlands derby to pay tribute to former manager Graham Taylor.
A minute’s applause will take place prior to kick off, and floral tributes will be placed involving past and present representatives from both clubs, and the England national team.
Both team captains will be involved, along with Dan Ashworth, technical director with the Football Association.
Current Wolves’ backroom staff Tony Daley and Rob Edwards, and former Aston Villa player and now Under-23 coach Mark Delaney, all of whom played under Taylor during their playing careers, will also take part.
The flags at Molineux have been flying at half mast since the news of Taylor’s passing was announced yesterday afternoon, and a four page tribute will be included within tomorrow’s matchday programme.
Fans from both sides are encouraged to take their seats in plenty of time ahead of the 5.30pm kick off.

It should be a minutes silence, don’t agree with applause. He was a manager who was well respected at both clubs, I know that applause is fashionable but what ever happened to showing respect remembering a great man and manager by filling the stadium with silence.
