It’s always great to receive more fly-on-the-wall pics of Villa supporters’ adventures on the 26th May 1982. Villa supporter Paul Wood, has already sent in Set 2 of MOMS pictures from the famous day, has found a few more pictures kicking about. As he told MOMS, “These photographs just keep turning up!”
We’re glad they do, because as well as capturing the spirit of the moment, they’re also a great insight into the style and fashion of Villa supporters at the time. There’s proper vintage clobber on show and it’s great to see a few fans sporting the Alan Evans and Peter Withe style sweatbands (I was definitely guilty of that). Some of the hats though in these pictures, it has to be said, are a bit dubious though! UTV
