Aston Villa Seek to Finally Muzzle Dogheads in the Premier League

Something for the Weekend – Wolves at Villa Park

Aston Villa haven’t won in their last seven Premier League games at Villa Park against Wolves. The last time they managed it, a 3-2 win under David O’Leary in 2003, Dion Dublin was playing centre-back. A lot has happened since, but now Unai Emery’s team will potentially need to break the recent trend, if they are serious about finishing in the Champions League places this season.

On the latest episode of Something for the Weekend on the My Old Man Said podcast we preview the West Midlands derby, as we hope the team channel the spirit and the fury of Birkir Bjarnason – who scored a superb goal out of anger and frustration against Wolves during Villa’s Championship years.

Speaking of random Villans from the past, we also give an honour mention to Jordan Bowery, who has perhaps finally found his true position.
