Aston Villa Confirm Digital Season Ticket Issue Timing

Aston Villa Digital Season Tickets Finally Incoming

With Aston Villa switching to digital tickets this season following the Premier League’s direction for it to be mandatory for the 2026/7 season, Villa supporters have been awaiting instructions for when the tickets would finally be available for upload.

Last week, MOMS had been on a Football Supporters Association meeting regarding Digital Ticketing with other club reps to hear any teething issues other club’s had experienced. While we have no issue with the principle of digital ticketing, it is obviously important to communicate the migration process very clearly to supporters and with plenty of time.

Digital tickets were available to fans last season, so there has already been something of a soft launch.

The issues that supporters had last season with Europa Conference League tickets at Villa Park, that caused big queues and congestion at the turnstiles, is testament that overall though, supporters need clear communication and a good notice period to prepare.

Hence, MOMS’ Facebook jest yesterday, which if nothing else has at least triggered some comms from the club.

The club today published a statement on their website confirming that digital season tickets will be available for upload in the next 24 hours.

Villa Statement on Season Tickets

Aston Villa can confirm that digital season tickets will be issued in the next 24 hours.

Season ticket holders for the 2024/25 campaign will receive their tickets ahead of Saturday’s home opener against Arsenal.

Fans will receive a link via email for your digital season ticket to add it to an Apple or Google wallet in due course.

Physical Tickets

it is understood from the club, that anybody who has been cleared to receive physical cards should receive them in the next couple of days too.

  1. Frustrating process. I received a link to get my digital ticket, fine, but not one for my two children who I also purchased tickets for. Try and call club ticket line and too busy there to even be placed on hold. And first home match on Saturday!

    • Yes, the digital ticket links ideally should have been sent out before the season started, at the latest. This last minute delivery is creating unnecessary panic amongst some supporters, as now they can’t get through on the phone lines etc.

  2. As I work away a lot will how to you get a physical ticket for games? As my wife takes my daughter down when I can’t.

  3. There is going to be a panic tomorrow, 22nd, when everyone who did not get their link try and get in touch with the Ticketing Office. Why wait until the last blooming minute to do this?

    • If you have a fairly new phone, the chances are you have.

If you have a very old phone, then I’d contact the club if I was you.

    • You’ll receive an email from the club and on it will be options to add the digital ticket to your Google or Apple wallet on your phone (depending on which one you have). It’s as simple as pressing a button on the email and then confirming.

  4. It’s not good as its always a rush as things never get sorted I still haven’t got mine yet.
