Aaron Tshibola Song & Signing

Get ready to hear the Aaron Tshibola song at Villa Park after a chase, that lasted over a couple of weeks, ended with Aston Villa announcing the completion of signing the 21-year-old midfielder.

Tshibola had been attracting lots of attention from rival Championship clubs and some Premier League clubs as well, with Reading boss Jap Stam rejecting a bunch of offers north of the £2 million mark.

It’s said that Tshibola himself helped force through the move for the chance to team up again with Villa assistant boss Steve Clarke, who helped him break through at Reading.

The youngster has actually played more games (23) on loan to Hartlepool than he did during his time at his mother club, Reading where he came through their youth set up.

“He’s a highly-rated and well-respected young player who will provide us with plenty of energy, courage and determination in the middle of the park,” said Roberto Di Matteo, on the Villa website.

Tshibola certainly comes to Villa with a capital ‘P’ for potential, rather than proven, so as we said previously on MOMS, it will be interesting to see how he lines up and what role he plays in the Villa midfield. Will he sit deeper to protect the back four or will he become more of an all-action Ian Taylor Mk II?

Whatever happens, Villa fans can thank Hartlepool fans for coming up with a cracker of a Aaron Tshibola song, while he was on loan there last year.

Aaron Tshibola Song

Taking its lead from Spandau Ballet’s hit ‘Gold’, it’s up there with the ‘Will Grigg’s on Fire’ one.

At the time of first hearing the song last year, Tshibola announced his love of the song via Twitter, tweeting:

“Still buzzing off the fans and the win yesterday! Loving my new song lol this is why I love football.”

If it’s sung loudly from the Holte End, that will be a good sign Tshibola has made his mark at Villa Park.

  1. Think he would be more impressed with a new song too.. Pleased to get him though, hope he lives up to promise.

Also if Amavi stays which does seem to be his intention, we need a song for him too.

  2. It’s shit. Why would you want to copy shit?

Surely we can do better than this? Far better.
