You know the ‘Tony Went to Rome’ song? Well, there’s a longer version penned by Villa supporter Terence McEvilly that covers all the Villa signings this summer, including the most recent one Mile Jedinak.
Considering he’s had to some difficult surnames to get in there – including Elphick, Gollini, Tshibola and Jedinak, it’s a decent effort!
First of all check out below video, if you don’t know the ‘Tony Went to Rome’ song. Full song lyrics are below that.
Tony Xia Aston Villa Transfers Song
Tony went to Rome,
in a Ford Mondeo,
brought us back a manager,
Roberto Di Matteo.
Tony went to Bournemouth,
in a Skylark Buick,
bought us back our leading man,
oh Tommy Elphick.
Tony went to Verona,
in his Lamborghini
bought us back a goalkeeper
Pierluigi Gollini
Tony went to Reading,
in his brand new Roller,
bought us back a midfielder,
Aaron Tshibola
Tony went to Fulham,
in his Audi Sportback,
bought us back the lethal striker,
Ross McCormack
Tony went to West Brom,
in a Ford Fiesta,
bought us back a centre half,
Oh Jimmy Chester
Tony returned to London,
in his new Cadillac,
bought us back a defensive mid
Oh Mile Jedinak
It might be too much to expect the Holte End to sing this anytime soon, but I must say, I’m impressed by Tony Xia’s big collection of cars. I wonder if he has any more cars to use for some more transfers?
