When most of us looked at the fixture list at the start of the season, we were hoping that the last day of the season trip to Millwall would be a game celebrating our automatic promotion. The hope was also our destiny would be have been all done and dusted by our final London trip.
Fast-forward to just four weeks before the match at the The Den brings the curtain down on the season, and it looks like it’ll be the in-form Millwall needing something from the game to secure a play-off berth.
Villa meanwhile, bar a miracle, will be more than likely be trying to get around the new regulations on resting players, as they prepare for the play-offs themselves.
The allocation for the match in South East London on Sunday May 6 2018 (Kick-off: 12:30pm) is 2,067.
The last away game of the season is traditionally a fancy dress celebration, although this season some fans have suggested the potential theme of coming dressed in a riot police gear.

A good result last night but really difficult to say how well we played against a very poor Reading side with 10 men, people are saying there’s still hope of second place, but where there’s hope there’s a dreamer nearby I don’t see it at all and I think we’re nailed on for the play offs. We’ve shown in the past that we’re capable, but we’ve also shown that we can loose to anyone so for me the playoffs is a lottery, and I’m not looking forward to it. But it is what it is and we have no one to blame except ourselves, all we can do is hope that we turn up when the big games arrive.
