Champions League Away Ticket Price Cap Reduces
Aston Villa’s travelling supporters received a boost when the UEFA’s Club Competitions Committee made the decision last week to reduce the price cap on away Champions League tickets from this season. The past couple of seasons had seen Champions League away tickets capped at €70. This season will see a reduction of €10 down to a maximum cost of €60, with next season 2025/26 seeing a further €10 drop to €50. This means a reduction of almost 30% over the next two seasons.
So, if a Villa fan saw all of Villa’s away league stage games this season they’d save €40, with further savings to come if Villa progressed through the knockout phases.
Last season, travelling Villans benefited from a €25 cap on Europa Conference League tickets. For the next two season, this has been reduced to €20. Meanwhile in the Europa League, the cap will drop from last season’s cap of €45 by €5 this season, then another €5 for next season to €35.
FSE Succesful Lobbying
This reduction in away prices caps marks some good work by Football Supporters Europe, who have been discussing a potential reduction with UEFA for the past couple of years.
“The revised price caps are further recognition of how integral away fans are to the atmosphere of European club fixtures,” said FSE’s Executive Director, Ronan Evain. “This decision illustrates another positive achievement in FSE’s joint work with UEFA and clubs on improving conditions for fans traveling across Europe.”

- Previous Cap: €70
