Fulham and Liverpool Time Changes

Once upon a time Sky Sports had to provide at least five weeks notice to change fixtures, but in an age without supporters being able to go to matches, game times can now seemingly be changed with a mere few days notice.

Villa’s upcoming match against Fulham has been changed for the second time, with the fixture being brought forward by 15 minutes to kick-off at 5.45pm on Monday 28th September, with the game still being shown on Sky Sports.

Meanwhile, the Villa Park clash against the current champions, Liverpool, which was originally scheduled for a Saturday 3pm kick-off on 3 October, has been put back.

This fixture has been moved to Sunday 4 October and will kick-off at 7:15pm, with the match also being broadcast live on Sky Sports.

With Villa’s first game of the season against Manchester City postponed, then their first two games being switched to Monday nights, Villa are currently in a state of catch-up, with the Liverpool switch only adding to this.

At the moment, while the season is young and the Premier League table has little psychological consequence, there will be few complaints from the club, who with new transfers coming in, will be grateful of any extra days to bed players in.

  1. With all this talk about Chelsea loan players and Rashica seemingly dropped off the end what’s happened to Benrahma the feeling is that we need a winger to allow Jack to play more centrally and as there are no supporters for at least 6 months you would think that there is another deal to be done with Brentford. I personally think he would be a very good signing for us and would undoubtedly link up well with Ollie Watkins. Very interested to see how Traore plays this evening against Bristol City.
