Crystal Palace Visit Villa Park Without their Pantomime Villain

Something for the Weekend – Life After Zaha

With Aston Villa currently on a run of eight consecutive home wins, Unai Emery will be looking to make it nine against Crystal Palace to help fire-up confidence and momentum going into a hectic Autumn period that has the additional demands of Europa Conference League football.

While Crystal Palace sit in seventh place, they’ve had their position aided by routine wins against Wolves and Sheffield United. For Roy Hodgson though, it’s so far, so good, in terms of life after Wilfried Zaha, so long the Eagles’ pantomime villain at Villa Park.

Who will fill the shoes of the Palace talisman, now he’s at Galatasaray?

In the latest Something for the Weekend we preview the visit of Palace and their threats, while catching up on all things Villa.
