Aston Villa’s Two Amazon Prime Fixtures
After the Premier League fixtures for the 2022/23 season were announced last week, Aston Villa’s first TV dates of the season were locked in, when Amazon Prime Video made a recent announcement of their broadcast dates.
First up, will be Villa’s trip to Fulham on October 18th, where they take on Marco Silva’s newly promoted side.
Despite beating Villa at Wembley in the Championship play-off final in 2018, Fulham have since been the epitome of a yo-yo club, suffering two relegations, yet bouncing immediately back with promotion each time.
This is the first time in Fulham’s last three promotions to the Premier League that they’ve been promoted as Championship Champions though, so they’ll be hoping to gain a bit of traction in the top tier this time round.
The Craven Cottage fixture will kick-off at 7.45pm on Tuesday, October 18.
As is fast becoming a tradition, Amazon Prime Video will be screening Premier League Boxing Day fixtures, so Villa’s big home match against Liverpool will be available on the format on 26th December (kick-off currently slated for 3pm).
The match-up against Jurgen Klopp’s team will be Villa’s first game back after the Qatar World Cup winter break, so they’ll be hoping to catch Liverpool cold.
The match-up will give Steven Gerrard his first opportunity of the season to try and get his first point/s off his old team, with the trip to Anfield making up Villa’s penultimate game of the season.
