Aston Villa Face Six Festive Fixture Changes
After the Premier League’s delay in announcing the festival period of fixture changes, six of Aston Villa’s Premier League fixtures in December and January now have new dates. The delay is thought to have been caused by the first Christmas Eve fixture since 1995, with Wolves set to play Chelsea at 1.pm on Christmas Eve.
The Amazon Prime screened fixture against Manchester City’s at Villa Park has been switched to Wednesday, December 6 (ko 8:15pm).
In the second fixture at Villa Park against the current top two teams in the Premier League, within that week, three days later, on Saturday, December 9, Arsenal’s visit has been moved to a 5:30pm kick-off and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
Unai Emery’s side game at Brentford is now pushed back to Sunday, December 17 (ko 2pm) due to their Europa Conference League game against Zrinjski Mostar in mid-week.
The home game against Sheffield United will now be a Friday night on B6 on December 22 (ko 8pm), with the game screening live on Sky Sports.
On Boxing Day, Villa’s second Amazon Prime date with the Manchester clubs, sees their trip to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United now kicking off will now kick-off at 8pm.
The final change, sees Villa’s away trip to Everton move to Sunday, January 14 (ko 2pm), and will be their first live game on Sky Sports in the new year.
