Manchester United vs Aston Villa FA Cup Details
Aston Villa will face Manchester United at Old Trafford in the third round of the FA Cup on the Monday evening of January 10th with a kick-off time of 7.55pm. The game will be broadcast on BBC1.
With away ticket details still to be confirmed, the Monday night date and TV broadcast will potentially affect the appetite for tickets.
MOMS understands the club has the potential to chose from three away ticket allocation sizes ranging from around 2.5k to 8k.
Ultimately, the price Manchester United set will go a long way to influencing the allocation that is requested.

21st Century History
The fixture will see the return of what was initially a fast-growing tradition of the 21st century, after Villa had drawn United in the FA Cup’s third round, four times within the space of six seasons – 2002, 2004, 2007 and 2008.
Painfully, United under Sir Alex Ferguson won all four of the previous matches, but three out of the four games were lost by a single goal and were normally decent contests.
With the cup tie coming just a week before the two sides meet in the Premier League at Villa Park, if the sides draw in the FA Cup game, a reply at Villa Park will be the next game to follow the Premier League clash. Meaning the teams could potentially meet three times on the trot.
Villa beat United 1-0 at Old Trafford, when the two sides met in late September, marking Villa’s first victory at Old Trafford since 2009.
