Aston Villa’s Europa Conference League Fixtures
Aston Villa were drawn in Group E of the Europa Conference League to face AZ Alkmaar (Holland), Legia Warszawa (Poland), HŠK Zrinjski (Bosnia and Herzegovina ).
Villa will now face each club home and away, with the group winner advancing to the round of 16 and runner-up contesting the knockout round play-offs against third-placed sides from the Europa League to make the last 16.
In terms of Villa making the top two places, a win in their opening game away at Legia Warszawa would go a long way to achieving that. Villa face perhaps their two toughest fixtures in the first three games, with their opening trip to Poland, followed up by a trip to Holland in the third round of games to take on AZ Alkmaar.
All Villa’s away matches will kick-off at 5.45pm UK time.
