Today, the EFL announced a further 11 EFL fixtures that were selected for Sky Sports coverage for the January and early February period in the new year.
The selection included a couple of back-to-back Aston Villa fixtures.
First of all there’s a switch to Friday night for the home tie against Sheffield United, a game in which Villa will be looking for revenge for a 4-1 drubbing earlier in the season.
Then Sky will show Villa boss Dean Smith’s return to Brentford, the following Wednesday night, in a fixture that keeps its original date and kick-off time.
NEW SKY SPORTS VILLA DATES
Friday 8 February | Aston Villa v Sheffield United | 19.45pm |
Wednesday 13 February | Brentford v Aston Villa | 19.45pm |
Villa can probably expect some further changes during the 9 February to 2 March fixture period, which will be made by 4 January.
