Aston Villa Squad Numbers 2023/24 Season
Aston Villa announced the squad numbers of 26 players for the 2023/24 season. There were few surprises, although maybe Bertrand Traoré retaining Villa’s prestigious No.9 shirt raised a few eyebrows. Many Villa supporters would have liked a new striker displaying the number to provide both back-up and competition for Ollie Watkins.
Aston Villa’s New Signing’s Numbers
In terms of Villa’s new summer signings, Youri Tielemans will wear No.8, Pau Torres will take the No.14 shirt and the latest arrival Moussa Diaby will take over the No.19 shirt.
Number Swaps
In terms of players changing numbers, left-back Lucas Digne will now wear No.12, instead of 27, while Jhon Durán swaps 22 for No.24.
