Aston Villa Receive Three Early Season Sky Sports Switches

Aston Villa Early Season Fixture Changes

Following Aston Villa’s season opener at West Ham being selected for broadcast for Sky Sports (August 17th 5.30pm), three more early season fixtures will now be broadcast too.

Villa’s first Premier League home game of the season against Arsenal will now be shown live on Sky Sports at 5:30pm on Saturday, August 24.

Then in September, Everton’s seemingly traditional early season visit to Villa Park will also get the 5.30pm treatment on Saturday, September 14, and will be shown live on Sky Sports.

Portman Road Double Switch?

Villa are now due to travel to Portman Road to play Ipswich Town on Sunday, September 29 for a 2pm kick-off live on Sky Sports. However, this match will be moved back to Saturday, September 28 if Villa are scheduled to play in the Champions League the following Tuesday.

With the Champions League draw being made on August 29th, that doesn’t exactly give travelling Villans much notice of a potential further change to the Ipswich game.
