Aston Villa Player Coach Attacked When Leaving Burnley

Aston Villa’s Player Coach Bricked

Following Aston Villa’s 3-1 win over Burnley at Turf Moor, it’s been reported that the Aston Villa coach had its front window smashed with a brick, while on the M65. The brick is believed to have been thrown at the windscreen from a footbridge over the motorway.

The coaches’s windscreen is understood to have suffered ‘significant damage’, although the coach driver, Villa staff and players, are all believed to be ok.

Video footage apparently has been passed on to Lancashire Police, who have put out a plea for any vehicles with dashcam footage to come forward, while Burnley FC have issued the following apology to the Villa:

Burnley Football Club is saddened and dismayed to learn about an attack on the Aston Villa team bus at junction 10 of the M65 after today’s match.

Having spoken with Villa we are relieved to hear nobody was hurt in the incident.

We strongly condemn this behaviour and will support Lancashire Police in their efforts to find whoever was responsible.
