Aston Villa Long Ball Team
No much to say here, but when you’re top of the long balls table, that pretty much points to the fact that you are hoof merchants. Unless new midfielders are brought to add dimension to the Villa midfield in January, I don’t see much changing.
Interestingly, Newcastle headed the table last season, yet now find themselves at the bottom of the current table (before the midweek action) and their performances and results have improved on last season to their fan’s relieve.
Still, this season might be all about results and screaming wonder strike goals (see Delph’s against the Saints!), rather than pretty performances. UTV
Table compiled by WhoScored.com before midweek fixtures, although Villa still top afterwards, with Southampton a surprise second place.

PL has said he intends to use the whole squad so perhaps different opposition will mean different tactics ! We have not seen Helenius yet in his prefered number 10 position or proper wingers being used but only PL knows what formation he’ll use on Sunday
