Aston Villa’s second European training camp kicks-off with the Cup of Traditions one-day tournament at German side MSV Duisburg’s stadium, the Schauinsland Reisen Arena.
The games will be played over a shorten duration of 45 minutes, with Villa kicking off against hosts MSV Duisburg for a place in the final against the winners of the other semi-final, between Hertha Berlin vs Malaga.
The line-up is as follows:
Aston Villa v MSV Duisburg 12noon – 45min game
Hertha Berlin v Malaga 1pm – 45min game
3rd v 4th place play-off 2pm – 45min game
Final 3pm – 45min game
Villa are expected to be backed by a following of around 400 travelling supporters.
Notable absences from the travelling Villa squad include: Ross McCormack, Tommy Elphick, Gary Gardner, Aaron Tshibola and Jordan Veretout. None are expected to still be at Villa come the end of the summer transfer window.

Great start for the Mighty AVFC, & a superb WIN, with three fantastic goals scored by Scott Hogan ( 2) who today showed us that he’s up and ready for this seasons promotion on this showing. and Andre Green added a lovely goal and as he’s done throughout pre-season showed that he has what it takes to become a regular in Villa’s starting eleven regularly. Also, solid Display’s from everyone involved really, and great to see some super crosses coming into the box again from Green & Elmo. Hutton worked his socks off ( as usual) and our defence looked solid at the back.
