Manchester United vs Aston Villa Selected
Aston Villa’s League Cup Third Round tie at Old Trafford to face Manchester United has been selected for live broadcast on Sky Sports.
The match will be played on Thursday, November 10 (ko 8pm), just four days after the two teams go head-to-head at Villa Park in the Premier League.
The cup clash will now be Villa’s penultimate game before English football breaks up for the World Cup in Qatar; their last match being on the 13th November against Brighton, also screened live on Sky Sports.
Villa will be looking to avenge last season’s unfortunate 1-0 defeat in the 3rd round of the FA Cup, when in a spirited second-half display, McGinn had a goal chalked off by VAR, before Watkins also had one disallowed for offside.
A win would mean Villa would go into 2023 alive and kicking in both cup competitions, which could go along way to lifting their overall season up.
Villa have already had success in the North West in the last round of the League Cup, beating Bolton 4-1.
