Aston Villa vs Real Sociedad added to Preseason
Aston Villa have added Real Sociedad to their pre-season schedule, with the La Liga side coming to Walsall’s Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium on Saturday, July 25. Kick-off is 3pm. Pallet-Track? Well, I suppose it beats Poundland as a sponsor.
Real Sociedad qualified for next season’s Europa League after winning the Copa Del Rey beating Atletico Madrid 4-3 on penalties, after it was level at 2-2 after extra-time.
Villa face Walsall at the same ground on Tuesday, July 21 — back-to-back Bescot fixtures four days apart — before jetting off to considerably more exotic destinations. Hong Kong first, on August 7 to face Bayern Munich in the Audi Football Summit. Then Salzburg on August 12 for the UEFA Super Cup against PSG. Then Germany, where Borussia Mönchengladbach host Villa at Borussia-Park on August 15.
The Real Sociedad pre-season fixtures will be broadcast live on VillaTV. Ticket details for all fixtures will be confirmed by Villa in due course.
